You can make a public feature request on the Green Glass Jobs Canny portal. You'll have to create an account there. On Canny, you can also upvote and comment on existing requests.

Here's why I like Bluesky:

• Security. I can set a 128-character password.
• Moderation and mental health. I can mute certain words and phrases from my feed. In effect, I can avoid being drawn into topics and discussions that are outside of my control and upsetting.
• Accessibility. I can (and do) ask Bluesky to require me to add alt text to pictures and gifs (see image below). In addition to making the platform more accessible to people with visual impairments, this feature helps other users filter out the post more easily if the alt text contains words they've muted. So far I've made 7 posts with images. 100% of the images had alt text.
• Influence over feeds + focus. In having lots of control over my feeds (what accounts I see, which ones I don't, what themes I see, etc.), I can focus on the topics I want to focus on.
• Public benefit. Bluesky is a Public Benefit Corporation, a type of corporation which balances profits and purpose (rather than simply focusing on profits)
• Portability. You can take your followers with you to new, connected apps
• Transparency. Bluesky is transparent a.k.a. open source
• Freedom. Bluesky is designed not to be controlled by a single company

I find other platforms lacking in many of these respects. With the features above, Bluesky is currently the only social media platform I want to use and support.

I ask Bluesky to require me to add alt text to pictures and gifs. This feature improves the accessibility of Bluesky. It also helps others avoid posts they don't want to see.
